‘I get talent pass you’ – P-Square Battles Live on Stage (WATCH VIDEO)

Peter and Paul battles on stage

Top African music duo, P-Square thrilled thousand of fans with a live battle at Gloworld Event. The famous brothers who had a little misunderstanding not long ago took the stage to settle their differences.
Watch Below;

Things You Probably Don’t Know About PSquare
In 2001, “P-Square” won the “Grab Da Mic” competition, and hence Benson & Hedges sponsored their debut album, titled Last Nite, which was released under Timbuk2 music label. P-Square was also nominated as “Most Promising African Group” in the Kora Awards three months after the release of their debut album. They eventually won the 2003 Amen Award for “Best R&B Group”.
In 2005, they released their second album, Get Squared under their own label, Square Records. This album was marketed nationwide by TJoe Enterprises, although they were still managed by Howie T of Adrot Nigeria Limited. The video for the second album held the #1 position on the MTV Base chart for four straight weeks.
The group has performed with artists like Ginuwine and Sean Paul, Akon. P Square are now located in Lagos.
Late in 2007, they released their best selling album so far, Game Over. It has sold 8 million copies worldwide.
In 2009, P-Square released their fourth studio album, Danger. The album features collaborations with 2 Face Idibia, J Martins and Frenzy. The first single called “Danger” is a hip hop song with cutting synths and a frog bass baseline similar to an Eminem song. The video affirms this with the presence of clowns and staggered movements in front of the camera reminiscent of comical videos by Eminem. They are also known for the close resemblance which the twins have to American R&B singer, Usher Raymond.
On 4 April 2010, P-Square was named the Artist of the Year at the Kora Awards in Ouagadougou, Burkina-Faso while they were in London for a concert at the Troxy, and they will receive a sum of $1 Million Dollars as the award winners, in Ebebiyin City.
On 29 August 2014, P-Square released a single track featuring a top America Artist T.I. which P-Square titled EjeAjo, EjeAjo official video featuring T.I.  was also released 29 August 2014 on both TV stations, Radio Stations and Web blogs.
On 14 September 2014 P-Square released their 6th studio album titled Double Trouble .
On 8 October 2015 P-Square were given Range Rover SUVs from Globacom as Glo Ambassadors for their sponsorship of the #DanceWithPeter TV Radio entertainment programme. The programme brings dancers from around the world to showcase their talents for prizes.
On 24 February 2016 News of how Globacom decided not to renew its Ambassadorship deal with the duo, albeit renewing the contract with other Ambassadors hit the news. This was as a result of a fallout between the company’s representatives and Peter, one half of the P-Square twins during the grand finale of the Dance with Peter talent hunt show.

EgyptAir Flight MS804 from Paris to Cairo disappears

– Flight MS804, a Paris-to-Cairo passenger plane carrying 66 people, disappeared off radar

– Search and rescue teams have been deployed to locate the Airbus A320

MS804 heading from Paris to Cairo has disappeared from radar with 66 people on board, including two babies and one child.

The plane, an Airbus A320, left Paris, France at 11.09pm local time on Wednesday night and was lost from ground radar at 2.30am Cairo time around 16km inside Egyptian airspace.

The plane vanished somewhere over the Mediterranean Sea, around half an hour before it was scheduled to arrive. No distress signal had been sent, according to the airline’s vice-chairman, Ahmed Abdel.

It was carrying 56 passengers and 10 crew: two cockpit crew, five cabin crew and three security personnel.  EgyptAir has published a list of passengers by nationality: 15 French, 30 Egyptian, 1 British, 1 Belgium, 2 Iraqis, 1 Kuwaiti, 1 Saudi, 1 Sudanese, 1 Chadian, 1 Portuguese, 1 Algerian, 1 Canadian.

The pilot has more than 6,000 hours of flight experience, including more than 2,000 hours flying the same model aircraft, EgyptAir said. The co-pilot has nearly 3,000 flying hours.

The concerned authorities had been notified about the incident, search and rescue teams were now looking for the aircraft.

French president François Hollande has already spoken to his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The French government will hold an emergency meeting to the circumstances of the aircraft’s disappearance. In March this year, an EgyptAir plane was hijacked and diverted to Cyprus. The attacker later surrendered and all hostages were released. Last October, a Russian passenger plane flying from Sharm el-Sheikh crashed over the Sinai peninsula killing all 224 people on board. The plane was reportedly brought down by an explosive device.

UK Daily Mail comes for Rotimi Amaechi, asks if he's 'fantastically' corrupt

According to UK Daily Mail...
When David Cameron was caught on camera last week before an anti-corruption summit describing Nigeria as ‘fantastically corrupt’, the African state’s president rallied to the Prime Minister’s defence by agreeing with him. But although Muhammadu Buhari is seen by some as leading the battle against corruption, worrying allegations swirl around one of his close allies.
Rotimi Amaechi, who travelled with the president to the summit, is Nigeria’s transport minister and is said to have bankrolled Buhari’s presidential campaign.
In the Nigerian press he has been dubbed ‘ATM’ – the American term for cash machine – because of his ability to produce vast sums of money at short notice.
He remains in his post despite being accused of misappropriating £338million by a commission investigating the sale of state assets.

Some of that money is likely to have come from UK taxpayers, who gave the country £1billion in aid over five years to 2014, including £248million in 2014 alone.
Separately, Amaechi is accused of diverting £140million of state funds into Buhari’s presidential campaign, with reports he paid for media, consultants and private jets.
The allegations come as the president stands accused of enjoying a lavish lifestyle while many millions suffer in poverty.

A leaked draft budget for 2016 showed the Nigerian government earmarked £16million for the refurbishment and maintenance of the president’s official residence, Aso Rock Guest House, in the capital Abuja.
There was also a request for £13million for building a VIP wing at a hospital used by families of the president and his ministerial team.
Mr Amaechi has denied the allegations against him.

World Leaders Make UNPRECEDENTED Declaration On Corruption

World leaders have issued a declaration policy against corruption during an anti-Corruption Summit in London.
The policy which is first of its kind was released on Thursday as the summit kick started. it has three major declarations which included; 1. Coruption should be exposed – ensuring there is nowhere to hide, 2. The corrupt should be pursued and punished and those who have suffered from corruption fully supported and 3. Corruption should be driven out – wherever it may exist:
The declaration reads;
Corruption is at the heart of so many of the world’s problems. We must overcome it, if our efforts to end poverty, promote prosperity and defeat terrorism and extremism are to succeed.
Today’s Summit has demonstrated the deep commitment of a significant number of countries, businesses and members of civil society to work together to tackle this scourge.
To do this we will build on and implement existing international agreements – but also go much further, making this a top priority at home and abroad and building capacity to tackle the problem.
We commit to expose corruption wherever it is found, to pursue and punish those who perpetrate, facilitate or are complicit in it, to support the communities who have suffered from it, and to ensure it does not fester in our government institutions, businesses and communities. We will fulfil our shared commitment to ‘substantially reduce corruption and bribery in all their forms’.1
1. Corruption should be exposed – ensuring there is nowhere to hide:
By ending the misuse of anonymous companies to hide the proceeds of corruption.
By driving out those lawyers, real estate agents and accountants who facilitate or are complicit in corruption and denying the corrupt the use of legitimate business channels.
By increasing the transparency of government budgets, tax information and procurement to deter tax evasion and expose the theft or misuse of taxpayers’ money.
By making it easier for people to report corruption without fear of reprisal.
2. The corrupt should be pursued and punished and those who have suffered from corruption fully supported:
By actively enforcing anti-corruption laws and working together to pursue the corrupt, prosecute and punish them.
By tracking down stolen assets and returning them safely to their legitimate owners.
By sending a clear message to the corrupt: there will be no impunity. We will restrict their ability to operate in our countries.
3. Corruption should be driven out – wherever it may exist:
By targeting entrenched corruption, linking up institutions and professions around the world to build capacity and foster a shared culture of integrity.
By ensuring transparency and governance in key areas including sport, extractives and the security sector.
By using innovation and new technologies to empower citizens to fight corruption.
By encouraging and supporting the international organisations to increase their focus on fighting corruption and to coordinate their work more effectively.

David Cameron is being honest in his comment "Fantastically corrupt"- Buhari tells CNN

President Buhari says the British Prime Minister, David Cameron was being honest when he said Nigeria was fantastically corrupt. President Buhari said this in an interview with CNN's Christine Amanpour.
"I think he is being honest about it. He is talking about what he knows about the two of us, Afghanistan and Nigeria and by what we are doing in Nigeria by the day. I don't think you can fault him. I hope he did not address the press.
He said it privately and somehow we got to know it" he said.
President Buhari during the interview said his main focus is to fight corruption and not to merely talk about it. On the missing Chibok girls, President Buhari said he had not seen the clip that was released by CNN last month that showed some of the girls in hiding. He added that even if he had seen the clip, he would not show it to the parents of the missing Chibok girls.
"How can we show it to them when we don't know where they are? If we know where they are then we can organize to secure them. If they are divided into 5, 10 groups all over the region, there's no way we can spontaneously and simultaneously attack all those locations. The important thing is to get them alive" he said.

With new petrol price, Nigerians tackle Fashola over Jonathan-era tweet

Nigerians on social media on Wednesday mocked the Minister of Power, Works, Housing, Tunde Fashola over a tweet he published more than one year ago dissing former President Goodluck Jonathan for a meagre reduction in pump price of petrol.
The reaction followed Wednesday’s deregulation of Nigeria’s petroleum downstream which saw the price of petrol increased by the federal government to N145 per litre, nearly double the previous N86.50 rate.
Mr. Fashola, a former governor of Lagos State, is now a key member of the ruling All Progressives’ Congress government.
The deregulation and its effect on petrol prices stand starkly against the thoughts he shared in the January 2015 tweet which berated the former president for reducing the price of petrol by only 10 percent even though the price of crude oil dropped by over 50%.
“PMS price reduction by N10. Now they listen. Oil the raw material drop (sic) over 50%, N10 is just about 10%. Good try but Nigeria can get a beta deal,” Mr. Fashola tweeted.

Shortly after the announcement of the new pump price of petrol, even as crude oil price has remained low since Mr. Fashola posted the tweet in January 2015, Nigerians began to tackle the former governor.
Many commenters accused the APC government of double standards, and said the party had promised lower prices of fuel.
“What’s your point Sir, a barrel of oil cost $43 in the international market, a litre now cost 145 in Nigeria,” a Twitter user, Holy Pastor, replied to Fashola’s old tweet.
“Just waiting for ur apology to Nigerian people what a shame!” another user, Chichi Efochi said.
Senator Ebydon tweeted: “How far Fashola? Still on the same lane?”
Omooba Adedapo tweeted: “That moment during the campaign when Fashola said the drop in oil price shouldn’t result to a drop in pump price. How’s the change now?”
Mr. Fashola is yet to tweet his support or otherwise for his government’s new stand.
Mr. Fashola’s media office did not return PREMIUM TIMES’ enquiry for comment for this report.

First of its kind! You can now Snap2Recharge

Oasis Management Company presents Snap2Recharge! - The first ever one stop shop app for easy mobile recharge. The App is available for download on Google Play store.https://play.google.com/store/search?q=rechargewiz

How do you load a recharge card without typing it?: Snap2Recharge is a technology created to eliminate typing of recharge cards/vouchers, and replacing it with a “snap to recharge” technology. Snap2Recharge is the next big thing in mobile technology.

Old way of recharging = you TYPE the digits

New way of recharging= you SNAP the digits.

Snap2Recharge “snap to recharge” is a simple to use, yet innovative mobile application that enables users to recharge their mobile credit by snapping a picture of the recharge code, rather than typing it. The app is developed particularly for Android mobile smart phone users to enable easy airtime recharge, balance check, airtime transfer, e-top, automatic Caller tunes purchase, automatic data bundle subscription, through bank account and also enable users to easily borrow airtime.

Snap2Recharge supports all GSM telecommunication networks, and it recharges mobile credit for pre-paid and post-paid subscribers alike.

The app version for iPhones, Windows, and Blackberry are also in development. It works offline and online. Users can share Snap2Recharge with Friends on Whatsapp, Bluetooth, Facebook, BBM and others.

During the pilot stage of Snap2Recharge, we gathered a group of people to use the application and in turn provide us with feedbacks. A stunning 95% of users gave similar answers – the appis easy to use. Other reactions include– Wow, this makes life much easier. It is faster than thetraditional method of having to manually type in the recharge card digits. The estimated timefor the Snap2Recharge app to recharge is 3 seconds. That is not all… with Snap2Recharge, wehave provided a “d-Direct” alternative where users can type in the recharge card digits without having to include the network dial code. Personally, before Snap2Recharge my experience had been that - I have called friends and family/ searched Google, and even research card dealers sometimes to get the dial code of a network. Snap2Recharge gives us all a solution to that problem.
