PDP Secretary in Ekiti state, Tope Aluko, this evening made some strong allegations regarding the 2014 Governorship election in Ekiti state that saw Ayo Fayose emerge as governor.

FA Cup: Iheanacho bags a hat-trick, Ighalo strikes again

– Iheanacho scored a hat-trick for Manchester City
– Ighalo scored for Watford
– Van Gaal is a relieved man
In the fourth round of the English FA cup, Iheanacho scored his first hat-trick for the Etihad outfit and Ighalo came on as a substitute to make the difference in Watford’s away victory.
Rooney, Blind and Mata eased the pressure on their manager, Louis Van Gaal.

Derby 1-3 Manchester United
A sigh of relief at last for Van Gaal as Rooney, Blind and Mata put a smile back on the face of their beleaguered boss.
Juan Mata was a revelation, and flourished in his favoured playmaker role after eventually earning the trust of the manager to spearhead United’s attacking and creative play.
However, the Spaniard was a peripheral figure in the early exchanges despite his imaginative and fluid movements.
Rooney’s superb curler set the ball rolling before allowing the host back into the game with George Thorne’s equalizer. Jesse Lingard provided the cross for Blind to score, putting United back into the lead.
The diminutive and impressive Spaniard rounded the night proceedings by applying the finishing touch to Martial’s pull-back late in the game to ease the pressure on their manager.
Colchester 1-4 Tottenham Hotspur
The gulf in class was obvious from the first whistle with Spurs continuously peppering the host’s defence. Colchester were not helped by the early loss of both central defenders to injury, with Wynter stretchered off, aiding Tottenham’s domination.
The away side deservedly opened the scoring in the 27th minute when Lamela slides Chadli into space down the inside right, who curled the ball into the top left.
Erik Dier made it two in 64 minutes and Chadli’s brace made it three for the opposition in 78 minutes with a guided header.
Ben Davies’s own goal gave Colchester some hope of a comeback before Carrol put paid to that aspiration five minutes later by completing the goal-fest with a sweet volley.

Arsenal 1-1 Burnley
Arsenal’s defence of the FA Cup continued unabated with a professional performance. Alexis Sanchez saved the Gunner’s blushes with his first goal in as many start since return from injury.
The first-half was fairly even with both sides creating chances. Calum Chambers put the home team ahead, his second-ever goal for Arsenal with a peach of a finish but Burnley deservedly got themselves level with a fine header from Sam Vokes.
Arsenal tightened their grip on the game in the second half resulting in a magnificient team goal. Sanchez started and finished the move when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s cross was smashed high into the net to put the Gunners in the hat for the fifth round.
Iheanacho celebrates his goal
Aston Villa 0-2 Manchester City
Iheanacho’s brace in the first half gave the opposition the perfect start to this comprehensive victory against an abysmal Villa side on their own ground.
He later secured his first hat-trick for the Etihad outfit in the rout. Iheanacho scored his first from the first corner of the game snatching home Fernando’s headed goal-bound ball on the line.
The second via a penatly awarded after Bacuna was adjudged to have shoved Raheem Sterling. Iheanacho scored his hat-trick when he ran into an empty space before beating Guzan at leisure.
His acrobat overhead kick led to the fourth with sterling bundling in to complete the rout.

Nothingham 0-0 Watford
Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo’s late goal put his team to the fifth round after coming on as a late substitute, his 15th goal of the season.
The match was full of efforts and endeavours, but with little quality. The home team came into the match having conceded only once in their last five games and equally less effective scoring goals, Watford on the other hand were neat and purposeful but missed the predatory instinct of the Nigerian.
Ighalo made the difference when he eventually came on by capitalising on Kelvin Wilson mis-kick to drive in the decisive goal.

Photo: Eyes of a young boy removed by ritualists in Kaduna#SoHeartBreaking

So sad, the eyes of this young boy, Abubakar Usman were removed by some ritualists in Kaduna last week. Photos were shared on a Hausa guy's Facebook page, Musa Saqafa.

The boy's father, Usman Isa, says doctors at the Ahmadu Bello University have performed an operation on the little boy. According to Isa who spoke with Daily Trust, the doctors said the ritualists removed everything in the boy's eyes and that there was no hope of him seeing again except by a miracle.

“The Kaduna hospital has referred us back to ABUTH. Doctors have conducted surgery yesterday. From what they told us, the perpetrators have removed everything that has to do with the eyes, which would make fixing them difficult. However, doctors said that they would review the operation to see the outcome, hoping they can fix artificial ones.”
He said the doctors said the artificial eyes would be fixed just to fill the holes, but not for the young boy to see. “Except if Allah performs a miracle,” he sobbed.
Meanwhile the grandmother of little Usman, Malama Hadiza Usman, narrated how she got to know that hergrandson's eyes had been removed by ritualists while he was on his way to an evening Islamiyya class.

In tears, Malama Hadiza told Daily Trust that she would never forget the incident for the rest of her life. “I’d given him N5 to buy sweets on his way, on Sunday, January 24. He left the house with his brother Umar, but on their way they were intercepted by yet-to-be identified men who took him to an uncompleted building and gouged his eyes out.”
At the hospital, little Abubakar was telling those around him to open his eyes to enable him see his mother and grandmother. “Open my eyes, I want to see Mama. Mama, where are you? Where’s Grandma?” he kept wailing.
I pray God performs miracle on the helpless young boy.

The Ever Capable Proudly Lasuites have done it again as student Wins NUESA "Best Orator" And "Brand Ambassador"

The Lasuite, Awesu Olaniyi Williams, from the Faculty of Education has been awarded by NUESA (Nigerian Universities Education Students Association) as the "Best Orator" and "Brand Ambassador".
This portrays a good leadership skills, courage and a responsible personality.

The Ever vibrant&ever konigba student, wrote on facebook,

"Two night ago I was awarded two prestigious awards,NUESA Best Orator 2016 and NUESA Brand                      Ambassador 2016 awards..This as forced me to recognise that nowhere is my story pretty unlikely                    a struggling young student from the forgotten corners of Faculty of Education (LASU)becoming a                        Regional and National Debate Champion...Indeed every good story must have an end (2011-                              2015),today with a deep sense of gratitude I understand the great service to remake the image of                        Lagos State University lies ahead,i have played my part and the untiring duty falls on emerging                          LASUITES to Rebrand the image of our great citadel of learning...To the glory of God we came, saw                    and conquered ‪#‎LASUITES‬Class Of 2015#...‪#‎ProudlyLasuites‬#"

That's inspiring for the upcoming products of LASU, take to it

The Great Insititution, Lagos State University which has been badly labelled by several people attaching it to a school of thugs, cultists, unseriousness, is now seriously proving them wrong, Guess competitions like this should be held regularly, so as to publicise their excellence and for people to know what the great school is truly made of (as i recall, this is not the first time of such success, but thanks to the fast growing media nowadays, that brings them to the open)

Dear readers, as you read along, you may think I'm being sentimental, but NO, the school has long been misjudged. As we all know, Nigeria is a country that only understands the language of struggle before our leaders do the right thing, but our problem is, we lack one voice, we don't show concern so far you are not affected, that's why we are still where we are. You see Lasuites emerge in huge protests on the streets so as to be heard by the Government, but of course, after a peaceful protest would have taken place in the school premises. I must say, Lasuites only act when cheated upon, and don't stop until their goals are achieved. To me, that symbolizes a true citizen who knows his right (check Article 3 of the Human Rights Act 1998, that states and protects you from torture or an inhuman treament that leads to a severe mental or physical suffering), the increase in school fees from Twenty-five thousand naira to Two-fifty thousand naira, for example, outrageous & killing isn't it?, what should they do?,sit and accept it?,NO i guess. So, that's way different from hooliganism if you concur. Lasuites understand the power of bonding and love, "Stick together with love&trust, you achieve big", "Together we stand, divided we fall", that's the spirit. However, people also forget the fact that, LASU has the Best School of Medicine in Nigeria and the Best School of Law till date, also great professors like Prof Momoh(of pol science), Prof Abanikanda (of sciences), Prof Ajose & Prof Salau (formally in LASU Engineering Campus) and the likes of them. Also, I must not forget to mention this great personalities too: Olabanjo Mike Olusola, that recently got the first prize award at the Etiebet's CSC project exhibition with the project "e-memo" (used to communicate electronically), Issa Jubril & MKO Abiodun (ex-students from Engineering Campus that made an "e-voting project" two years ago, the project still very authentic and been used for elections in the school till date), there are several others, but I'll leave you to do the discovery yourself. LASU is indeed a great school i must say, they produce great people and not touts.

Now you should feel fly if you are a lasuite or once a lasuite, (graduated there or didn't finish), so long you've stepped your feet in lasu lecture rooms, you are a prodigy.

Greatest Lasuite!!!, Articulate Lasuite!!!, Ever Konigba Lasuite!!!,...God bless the prestigious school.

Comment if you are/were a proud lasuite, or free to argue if you are not/you don't agree

POPE FRANCIS CHANGES ‘CHURCH LAW’, ALLUDES THAT MUSLIMS ARE MEN OF GOD

On Thursday, the Vatican announced that there would be changes to the Easter week ritual, where Pope Francis washes the feet of 12 men recalling Jesus’ 12 apostles.
The Vatican liturgy office stated the rite can now be performed on anyone “chosen from among the people of God.” Previously this custom was reserved for Christian men only. Source.
On the surface, the announcement means woman would now be allowed to participate in the rite. But in the Vatican’s announcement there was no mention of gender or religious affiliation.
However,  Pope Francis has already performed the rite on Muslims, which would allude that they are included in the allowed group- or those “chosen from among the people of God.”
Pope Francis has also been known to visit mosques, including being the first Pope to ever visit Rome’s ‘Great Mosque’ Source.
This past November Pope Francis stated “Christians and Muslims are brothers and sisters,” while visiting Africa. A local Imam (or Islamic religious leader) responded to the Pope, saying “The relationship between our Christian brothers and sisters and ourselves is so deep that no maneuver seeking to undermine it will succeed. The Christians and Muslims of this country are obliged to live together and love each other.”Source.

Piers Morgan weighs in on Kanye-Wiz-Amber spat

Trust him to have an opinion on everything. Always interesting to read though. Below is what he wrote on UK Daily Mail about the twitter fight between Kanye, wiz Khalifa and Amber last night...
"‘Are you OK mate?’ I tweeted to Kanye West last night.
He’s not really my ‘mate’, I guess.
But I’ve met him a few times, and get on very well with his wife Kim Kardashian.
The reason I asked such a simple public question was because I follow him on Twitter and he appeared to have taken sudden and dramatic leave of his senses.
In an explosion of tweets, Kanye went after his big rap rival Wiz Khalifa in spectacular style.
It was the nearest thing to verbal social media diarrhea that I’ve ever witnessed.
Tweet after tweet after tweet burst out of his feed, the mood and tone of Kanye’s thought process swaying between blind rage, sneering insult, and finally pure viciousness.

He slayed Khalifa for everything from his music and fashion to his weight, wife and young son.
There was just one problem.
Kanye had got it all horribly wrong.

His ire was sparked by a tweet from Khalifa which said: ‘Hit this kk and become yourself.’
Kanye, who dated Khalifa’s estranged wife, the model Amber Rose, for two years, assumed this was a derogatory reference to his own wife Kim.
It wasn’t.
It was a reference to cannabis.

More especially, Khalifa’s own strain of cannabis, Khalifa Kush, which he has been very publicly marketing for some time.
But in the very singular, self-absorbed world of Kanye West, there is only one ‘kk’ that matters and it’s Ms Kardashian.
This is not the first time Kanye’s gone berserk, of course.

He’s an unpredictable, emotional, spontaneous maverick who often does and says things before his considerable brain has properly engaged.
It’s what makes him one of the most compelling and engaging stars in the world, and I for one, greatly enjoy his talent and his erratic behaviour.

But as I was chuckling away at this Twitter tantrum, he suddenly wrote something which made me stop laughing.
It wasn’t the ‘you let a stripper trap you’ jibe about Amber Rose, distasteful though that was. She can look after herself as she made very clear by the eye-wateringly explicit tweet she fired back at Kanye last night concerning his alleged sexual proclivity.
(Amber Rose filed for divorce from Khalifa in 2014 but it was never finalised and there have been numerous rumours recently that they are reconciled).
No, it was Kanye’s next tweet: ‘I know you mad every time you look at your child that this girl got you for 18 years.’
Soon followed by this: ‘You wouldn’t have a child if it wasn’t for me.’
And then this: ‘I own your child!!!!’
That child, Sebastian Taylor Thomaz, is two years old.
I’ve no problem with a couple of famous rappers going after each other in public.
But I have a big problem with one of them using an innocent two-year-old boy to do it.
Especially when the perpetrator is himself a very protective father of two young children.

Kanye was not, as some instantly and sensationally assumed, suggesting with the phrase ‘I own your child’ that he’s the boy’s father. He was sneering that if he hadn’t split from Amber Rose, then she wouldn’t be with Khalifa and there would be no child at all.

But that perhaps deliberate ambiguity may be lost on many.
After 30 minutes of abuse spewing his way, Khalifa finally tweeted ‘KK is weed fool’ to Kanye. At which point there was a temporary cessation in hostilities, presumably as the dime slowly dropped all over Kanye’s gold jewellery-laden head.
When he returned to Twitter, his tone was dramatically different.
‘I love Wiz,’ he declared. Something which wouldn’t have been immediately apparent from the apoplectic cyperspace onslaught he’d been waging against him just minutes before.
‘I love all my brothers, and all the people, and I love the world,’ added Kanye. ‘All I want is peace and positive energy.’
Riiigght.
Again, not an immediately obvious mission statement from a man who had just tweeted, ‘Don’t ever ever ever come out the side of your mutherf***ing neck bro or bruh’ at his new great love.
Kanye then announced he had deleted all his insulting tweets.
‘It’s all about positive energy, blessings blessings, positive energy blessings,’ he explained. ‘I’m happy that I now know that KK means weed…please excuse the confusion….’

Hmmm.
Not so fast, Mr West.
I can excuse almost all your excess.
I even laughed my head off when you ambushed Taylor Swift on stage to ruin her big moment at the VMAs, not least because you were right that Beyoncé should have won Best Female Video that year.
But I can’t just laugh off the way you dragged a little boy into your war with a love rival.
Just as I loathe and detest parents who use their children as battering rams against each other in divorces, so I loathe and detest big stars doing the same to score cheap points in Twitter feuds.
I’ve always thought that Kanye West is a pretty classy guy beneath all the bluster; a stupendously gifted musician, snappy dresser, brilliant entrepreneur, evocative speaker, incurably romantic husband and doting father.

But by targeting young Sebastian in such a despicable manner, I lost a lot of respect for him.
It was a pathetic, petty and woefully insensitive thing to do.
I hope Kanye wakes up today after a thoroughly disturbed sleep, reflects on what he did, and makes a full and sincere apology to that boy, and to his father Khalifa.
He won’t want to; Kanye is about as big on apologies as Donald Trump.
But it would help restore the damage that his indefensible comments have caused, not just in the moment but forever. Those deleted tweets have all been screen-shot for posterity, meaning that when he’s older Sebastian will inevitably read them and wonder what exactly the legendary Kanye West meant when he said he ‘owned’ him?
Kanye, I know you genuinely believe you are the Muhammad Ali of the music business, Greatest of All Time.
Not least because you reminded us of this very fact in the middle of last night’s rant.

But last night, I’m afraid the only title you won for yourself was a rather simpler one, comprised of two words ironically also beginning with the letters ‘KK’.
King Klutz."

Cisco Networking Intern Program: A guaranteed opening for breaking into an enviable Cartel

This is a sponsored post. Read below..

"I am Adejare Adeleke Moronfoye and by the grace of God, a Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert [CCIE #49449]. My experience and expertise in the field of Information Technology gives me the rare privilege to share my story and inspire you to invest today and reap the rewards. My journey into the world of Cisco Networking began as a young graduate of UNILORIN over 10 years ago.
My tale is not any different from that of the average graduate who finishes school with not very good grades and those juicy jobs which we fantasized about in the undergraduate days weren't forth coming, I knew I needed to take my destiny into my own hands, and that's what motivated me into the IT industry.

With my options limited, I took the bulls by the horn and I decided to go into IT networking and embarked on training in Cisco Networking. Shortly after, at the height of the Telecommunications and IT industry boom, the skills I had acquired in Cisco Networking became relevant as one of the major players in the Telecommunications industry came calling.

Now, I have the most prestigious certification in IT networking and currently in the employ of one of the largest networking companies in the world where I am the Resident Consultant. All this happened, because I owned my future rather than wallow in self pity due to my not so good grades. The IT industry is still quite young in Nigeria and it is a gold mine waiting to be tapped as there are a lot of opportunities but the technical knowhow is what is lacking. We have so many half baked network engineers out there who haven't really gotten well seasoned hands-on training.  The only solution to solving this problem is for you to have top-notch, quality and hands-on training. This is the only requirement that guarantees employability and recognition.

To be equipped with these skills that will start you on the journey to becoming a skilled professional like me in no time, you should be an Intern at the next Cisco Networking Intern Program because with its unique blend of expert training, access to live routers & switches and internship-styled training you can be sure of a place at the top within the foreseeable future.

2face finally reacts to Blackface's allegations of song theft against him

In a chat with Channels TV’s Entertainment News, 2face reacted to the allegations of song theft by his former band mate - Blackface. He said,
'My brother it’s just so unfortunate. I don't know where it is coming from. I'm trying to think of different reasons. I thought maybe his account was hacked or something. Apparently it wasn’t hacked, so we'll trash the whole matter.. but I've got nothing but love and respect for him and it's just so unfortunate that he's coming at me like that.'
When asked if he still considers him (Blackface) a friend, 2face said 'Apparently he doesn’t consider me his friend anymore but I wish him no ill-will. Let’s leave it like that for now.'
