Like they say, the legend is yet to be born. Apparently, there will always be an extraordinary
football genius, just as there were players like Pele, Maradona, Ronaldinho, then Messi and
Ronaldo. This young boy Pietro Tomaselli playing for Italian A.S. Roma obviously will be a
star or should i say will be the next MESSI#lol...
Pietro Tomaselli is a prodigiously skilled 9-year-old Belgian kid who’s just been signed by Serie A giants AS Roma.
Tomaselli came to the attention of Roma after a series of Youtube videos of him running rings around opponents went viral and he was ultimately lured from Anderlecht’s youth academy.
Roma weren’t alone in their interest, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United and Manchester City all reportedly tracking a player who has received the highest praise possible.
“We were really wonderfully welcomed,” Tomaselli’s father Pino said. “Perhaps even more than a player like Diego Maradona.”
Pino told Belgian website sudinfo.be that they chose Roma partly because of their Italian heritage and that hopes are high for his son.
“Everyone knows about him already: the club president, the senior players,” Pino said. “They think he could be better than Diego Maradona.”
No pressure then, Pietro.
