#BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira campaign started by Senator Ben Murray Bruce.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has pledged that the federal lawmakers will amend the procurement act and work with Standard Organisation of Nigeria, SON to uphold high standard of locally made products.
The hashtag has also become a platform for local entrepreneurs and manufacturers to showcase what they are capable of producing.
It has also generated international recognition as The Cable News Network, CNN and The British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC, have published articles on it.
