UNILAG Closed Indefinitely After Students Protest Poor Electricity and Water Supply


Following Thursday’s protest by students of the University of Lagos, the senate of the institution has announced that the university should be closed immediately to prevent an escalation in the break down of law and order.
Students of the university had protested the poor  electricity supply and water in the university campus.
After a meeting of the school senate on Thursday, the management released a secular directing the suspension of academic activities in the university.
The management also announced that students are to vacate their hostels and halls of residence on or before 10 am on Friday (today).
A statement released on Thursday evening stated that decision on the resumption of academic activities will be made as soon as “municipal services improve”.
